Mission & Vision

Vounteering should be easy, interesting and make a difference! But too often it can be difficult to find volunteering opportunties, it can be almost impossible to coordinate schedules, and it becomes a hassle to track service hours.

Our Mission &  Vision

ServeSanMarcos.org brings volunteers and nonprofits together in San Marcos. With a simple search, volunteers can explore the wide variety of ways to help their local community. You can help with education, food, nature, animals, housing, health, and many other ways. Connect with a project you are passionate about and explore new ways to serve!

Nonprofits effectively reach 38,000 college students plus connect with our local families and volunteer leaders in a simple to use web interface. Find people with the skills to help on your projects or schedule teams of volunteers quickly.

We are here to connect peoples passions with the community needs.  In under 5 minutes, volunteers can review and signup for help on projects. Gone are the days of phone tag and hours of long emails.  And once the project is complete - its as simple as entering hours served to automatically create a civic transcript that records service details with  hours.

A community project of the United Campus Ministry of Texas State

ServeSanMarcos is a community project lead by the United Campus Ministry of Texas State.

For over 80 years, the United Campus Ministry has been actively involved developing the next generation of leaders at Texas State and in the San Marcos community. The UCM is a ministry partnership of the United Methodist Church, the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA), the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and United Church of Christ. We work with our partner congregations, as well as inviting the whole community, to make a positive difference in individual lives and a strong overall community.
